"Mine only lasted a couple years before it caught on fire. I think a gas line gave out - it had been acting up before the fire with even more uneven heat than usual. Even before it flamed out it had really uneven heat that required a lot of adjustment to learn to grill with. I eventually learned the parts of the grill that were hot (back corners) and cool (front was basically a warming area not a grilling area) and learned to grill successfully. Its lack of even heat makes it actually a much smaller grill in terms of useable area. It also required a lot of attention to avoid flare ups. The igniter went out after about 18months - tried changing the battery that wan't the problem) and I had to light it by hand since I had already decided not to put any more money into the grill. It was cheap for its features but you get what you paid for. Personally, I'm going to suck it up and spend more this time."

"I have purchased a Brinkmann grill similar to this one and while I love the grill, the difficulties I have had with their customer services forces me to do all I can to steer others away from Brinkmann products. After two years of owning the grill and after having to replace a faulty regulator within the first year, I placed an order 63 days ago for replacement parts and have not received them. My emails to their customer services center go unreturned. When I call and can get past the busy signal, I am on hold for 20-30 minuets. I am unable to use the grill without the replacement parts. I am currently in the process of searching around for a more reputable company to purchase a new grill from. For the sake of your own sanity, stay away!"

"At first I thought I scored a huge value on this grill becuase it produced much heat and it was inenxpensive. After the first summer season, it barely lit in cold weather. Frustrating to a winter griller like me, yet sometimes it worked fine. The second season it worked less than half the time, so I ordered another grill and this one is going to the dump. By the way, I tiried to call Brinkman, but after 13 minutes on hold I hung up."
